Ludwig van Beethoven - FÜR ELISE (Kalimba tab)

Für Elise was composed around 1810 by the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven and remains one of the most recognizable classical melodies ever written. Originally composed in the key of A minor, the piece is gentle, emotional, and instantly memorable. Despite its simplicity, Für Elise carries a sense of longing and tenderness that continues to resonate with listeners centuries later.

The title Für Elise translates to “For Elise.” It is widely believed that Beethoven intended to dedicate the piece to a woman named Therese, whom he admired, but due to his unclear handwriting, the name was misread as Elise. Whether written for love or friendship, the melody expresses intimacy and quiet emotion. On the kalimba, Für Elise sounds soft and expressive, making it a favorite for beginners and experienced players alike.
