Ryan Bomzer at 18 years old

This song reflects Ryan Bomzer's personal experiences as he navigated life at 18 years old, capturing the excitement and challenges of reaching adulthood. The lyrics take listeners on a journey from the anticipation of celebrating milestones to the reality of dealing with the effects of alcohol. Through vivid storytelling, Bomzer shares his feelings of being alive and carefree, only to confront the physical and emotional aftermath of partying. The repeated chorus, "Life, what do you want from life?" highlights his search for meaning and direction. Below, you'll find the full lyrics to Life.

Chorus

Life, what do you want from life?

Whatever you need from life?

I see your earth is shaking for forsaken life.

Life, what do you want from life?

Whatever you need from life?

I see your earth is shaking for forsaken life.

Verse 1

I woke up early, it all felt right.

My mind was whirly and blurred was my sight.

I finished the test and yeah I feel better

But I look to my left, I see 8 cans of Stella.

Started getting ready, all for my night

My heads getting heavy, no money on the side.

Todays my 18th and I feel so alive,

Yeah, yeah, yeah it feels so right.

I start gelling hair whilst I listen to tunes.

I struggle for air so I, I grab my shoes.

I step out the door and I look around,

It’s like a dance floor but there’s no more sound.

Although I’m quite stressed, tonights gonna be great.

Meant to be the best but mates are running late, uh.

Yeah mates are running late, what can I do? Looks like I gotta wait.

Verse 2

Finally arrive but times ticking on,

I’ve lost all my drive and my face is getting long.

Head to the club about 20 past 8,

Because I’m in love, my head is a state.

I down a few drinks and things are looking good,

I got this great buzz am I feeling like I should?

I look around and everything slow,

There’s great sounds and my drink has a glow.

I fall to the floor, it all feels wrong.

Blood starts to pour no longer am I strong?

I can’t stand right, not well, not at all.

And every time I pull a hand I still fall.

What to do looks like I need help,

Its a true fact, drinks bad for your health.

Tomorrow I’ll wake and feel so bad,

My head will shake but now I’m feeling sad.
