Description

The wooden Matsu Tongue Drum also known as a slit drum or log drum is made from solid pine wood and is hollowed in the middle to amplify the sound. The slits on the top create the perfect environment to strike with a beater to produce a tone block sound. The pitch slightly varies depending on where you hit it and the lines are aligned in a way that looks like two H's next to each other or like a pathway maze. These Matsu Tongue Drums used to be supplied with plastic beaters however recently we have been swapping these out for eco-friendly alternatives and so the beater you receive may vary from the photo shown.
