The Hokema Twin Kalimba is a double thumb piano designed for one or two people to play together. Its 30 cm wooden body holds two identically tuned sets of nine metal tines, both in A minor. When a note is plucked, its matching tine on the opposite side can resonate sympathetically, creating a rich, layered sound. Played solo, the two sets allow alternating thumb patterns; played as a pair, the instrument encourages shared musical exploration, making it particularly appealing for sound therapy, workshops and relaxed music-making.
